ESRC Impact Awards
Outstanding Public Policy Impact – Decision Maker Panel – Finalist
The Economic and Social Research Council is pleased to announce the winners of its Celebrating Impact Prize 2021.
The ESRC Celebrating Impact Prize, now in its ninth year, is an annual opportunity to recognise and celebrate the success of ESRC-funded researchers in achieving and enabling outstanding economic or societal impact from excellent research.
Entrants’ applications were reviewed by a panel of academics, engagement and knowledge exchange experts, and research users. Shortlisted applicants were invited to an interview, along with non-academic supporters who helped describe the impact of the work. All finalists were invited to an awards ceremony on 18 November 2021 when the winners were announced.
ESRC’s interim Executive Chair, Professor Alison Park, said:
“Our competition recognises the UK’s world-leading economists and social scientists and highlights how their work makes a difference to people and organisations within the UK and across the world.
“The winners of this year’s awards provide excellent examples of how the social sciences are proving vital in helping communities and businesses navigate key national and global challenges, including recovery from the pandemic. It is also encouraging to see so many research teams feature, celebrating the vital role of collaboration and team-working within research.”
